Zach is joined by Filmmaker Marshall Rosales to take a trip through Andre De Toth’s thrilling tale of 3-D terror, ‘House of Wax’.
Wander through the museum with us as we learn more about the oft neglected importance of De Toth, speak the history of 3-D and its short shelf life in the 50’s , elaborate on the urgency the studio had with leaping onto this film, asses the contributions 3-D made to this and the tech behind it, dig into the matter of Stereophonic Sound, sort out the machinations of the plot, and revel in the legacy of the iconic Vincent Price.
There are plenty of laughs to offset the terror of Professor Jarrod’s wax works, as the guys wonder who dubbed in Charles Bronson’s grunts in the film, hear Lil’ Hitch and Robert Burks cook up a scheme for 3-D, ponder if a double bill of ‘Wall Street’ and ‘Society’ could save theaters, and bow at the strange alter of Reggie Rymal or Paddle Ball Guy!
PLUS: a special appearance by ‘Bosley Crowther’
