WHAT IS ‘YESTERYEAR BALLYHOO REVUE’?
YESTERYEAR BALLYHOO REVUE is a podcast that has been tasked for no particular reason to bring forth casual, chuckle filled, and hopefully informative discussions about films made from the birth of cinema, to the Golden Age Of Hollywood, all the way to the days before the American New Wave kicked off in 1968. An offshoot of THE SHAMLEY SILHOUETTE, a podcast dedicated to the work of Hitchcock, Yesteryear Ballyhoo Revue hopes to shine a new light on some old favorites and a light period on undiscovered gems. All with the task of finding the lessons that Old Hollywood taught that are carried into the current realm of film, for better or for worse.
